All released players recoup the full amount of their value. Once released a player can't be re-signed by the same team for the remainder of the season.

PB  PRIVATE BID
(only available once season has begun)
Teams are allowed ONE private bid for a free agent player per round. Each round, the highest private bid for a player will succeed and the player will be then available for selection in the following round.

SB  STANDING BID
(only available in leagues with online pre-season auctions)
Once a standing bid is made, it is displayed on the trade page and can be outbid before the maturity date. If the maturity date is reached, the player is signed. If the bid is outbid before then, the maturity date is reset and the bid must stand again until that date.
A standing bid cannot be cancelled once submitted.
